Interior Van Lining

Panel Van and Kombi Vans are essentially commercial vehicles and very noisy to drive. Therefore, a high percentage of VW Transporter owners opt for a van lining solution making the look, feel and driving experience of the van better. It helps to keep the cold out and heat in, less noise which makes for a less tiring drive and your radio will sound clearer with less distortion too! All these added benefits also add value to your van, making it more desirable.

We work closely with local (Breeze) and national (Alan Day) VW dealers and have completed many van lining packages to their own demo and customer′s vans. At Coastal Vehicle Solutions, lining is carried out to the highest possible standard, we do not consider this to be a trainee job and all members of staff must be able to complete a van with the minimum of joins and these are always in the same location as part of conformity of production. All products used in our van lining packages are high quality, fire tested and specifically designed for use in vehicles, ensuring that the quality remains at the same high standard for all our vans.

Lining & Insulation

One of the most important parts of your van conversion is the lining, as this is usually the first part completed and the project grows from there, it is our most popular service, and our customers are always happy with the results. The process starts with the van being stripped out, front seats are removed, and the interior is thoroughly cleaned, ensuring the carpet gets good adhesion. We use high-quality glue that is temperature stable to 120c.

All metalwork is lined separately from the panels to allow easy access if required once the van is rebuilt. Damping mat is applied to the panels followed by 100% recycled low-profile Extreme Thermo Liner, Extreme is a professional 16mm sound and heat insulation material. It is designed as the ultimate top-quality insulation for conversion and will not absorb water like inferior wool or fibre. The panels are then lined and replaced, leaving you with a stunning result.

Ultra Sound Dampening

If you want to go a step further, then Ultra-Sound Dampening is a great add-on. This process uses a 2mm polymeric based dampening mat with an aluminium surface that converts vibration into thermal energy reducing the road noise even further, resulting in an even better drive. Needing only a 30% coverage to be effective we go over and above with 70% coverage. We cover the roof, sides & doors including the front driver and passenger doors. This also results in a massive improvement to the quality of sound from your front door speakers.
