Kombi Bed

Coastal Vehicle Solutions designed the Kombi bed specifically to allow you to create a full-width rear sleeping area in a Kombi van whilst giving you maximum versatility in your van. It is fully removable and still allows you to carry passengers in the Mid Row seats by folding away when not in use, giving you the ability to create a multipurpose van to suit all your lifestyle needs.

The Kombi bed comes in 9 parts that flat packs for ease of storage and can be fitted by one person in just a few minutes with just one tool to assemble the bed. We have designed it so that you can partially remove it if required to create more space in the rear whilst you are out and about. The mattress is made from lightweight poplar ply and 40mm high density foam and a 20mm memory foam topper to give a extremely comfortable sleeping experience.

Kombi Pod

Recently introduced is our Coastal Vehicle Solutions Kombi Pod. Used in conjunction with or without our Kombi Bed the Kombi Pod allows you to create a fully functional camper quickly and easily. It includes various storage areas so you can pack all the essentials needed for your trip.

Made from light weight ply it is easy to lift in and out as required. The pod is attached using 2 fixings, to either the legs of the kombi bed, or 2 small brackets if required for a van without the Kombi Bed ensuring that is securely held in while traveling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of our frequently asked questions.

The Coastal Vehicle Solutions Kombi bed has a 6 piece frame. The 2 leg pieces bolt into the existing tie down points on either side of the vehicle at the rear towards the back of the kombi seats. 3 crossbars then slot into the brackets on top of the leg pieces. The sixth piece then slides into the front ends of the 2 legs creating the frame which extends out over the seats once they have been folded flat (T5 single only tilts so you need to remove the headrest and tilt fully forward or remove if required). The mattress, which is in 3 pieces, fits on top of the frame. Once you've had your nights sleep and are ready to travel again you simply remove the front mattress and put it on top of the middle one so that you can still use the rear for storage, push in the end piece of the frame so the seats can lifted back up into the travelling position and away you go!

We usually have beds & pods in stock but during busy times of the year lead times can be 2 to 4 weeks.

We do not offer delivery.

You can pick your bed up if you are local or fancy a trip to Poole, maybe tie it in with a trip to the beautiful Jurassic Coast! We can always help with advice on where else to visit.
